University of  Science and Philosophy
Meet the NEW President of the USP, John Bonsall!

Message from the President-

To my fellow students and enlightened souls everywhere,
I would like to thank the Board of Directors of the University of Science and Philosophy for this most welcomed opportunity.  My gratitude also goes out to former President, Mr. Matthew Presti, for his tireless work effort in reviving this vital message. In 2019, under the guidance of Mr. Presti, and with a handful of dedicated students, the resurrection of Walter and Lao Russell’s work from 20 years of storage was made possible through our new Russell Museum in Waynesboro, Virginia.  May I extend an open invitation for all the world to come and visit our museum and witness these remarkable accomplishments of the Russell’s firsthand.
Having lived with and mentored under Lao Russell for two years, it has given me a greater insight to this vital message and its true purpose. What an honor it is for me to inform you of my acceptance of the position as the new President of the University of Science and Philosophy. Together, we begin this journey into the eleventh era of moving forward the Immortal Message of “The Divine Iliad” as delivered within the Russell Cosmogony. I do not have to tell you that world conditions of today are in great decline. This institution from its inception on May 2nd, 1949, has always focused on building of the character of man to enrich society. This greater understanding can be accomplished through a self-awakening process that our university’s’ curriculum achieves via our Home Study Course, in Universal Law, Natural Science and Living Philosophy. These principles, once comprehended and applied in everyday life, will further uplift one’s self and humanity to an even greater understanding of Oneness with each other and that of our Creator.
One of my favorite sayings from our co-founder Lao Russell is and I quote, “The greatest challenge for any person in life is to discover their divinity and live it.” What a wonderful experience, this awakening process by any human being to their divine self. In the balanced rhythms of classical music this experience can be greatly enriched. No greater meaning of that process can be stated than that of the Immortal Ludwig Von Beethoven himself, as to why he wrote his fifth symphony. His purpose in composing this was “To emancipate oneself by passing from the finiteness of physical living into the infinity of eternal being.” This statement brings an even greater understanding to Dr. Russell’s famous quote, that “Mediocrity is self-inflicted, genius is self-bestowed.”
It is with heart felt emotion, that this message will again reach out to the world in this eleventh hour of need. To give mankind a greater understanding of his true purpose on earth before it is too late. Mrs. Russell had a beautiful saying, “you can only have in life that which you first give.”  With your involvement, we can do this together, each of us, acting as messengers of the Light, bringing untold legions to this movement.

In Loving Service to the Message,
John Bonsall
President, USP
A century and more ahead of his time, Walter Russell, in The Secret of Light presents a unique Cosmogony, that of a universe in which Creator and Creation are proven to be a seamless, unified whole, and in which the dualism of "mind and matter" disappears.
Check out these reviews of what people are calling, "A scientific masterpiece."

"Reading The Secret of Light is an important step toward understanding both the intellectual and spiritual balances that exist in the universe. It is best to read in solitude, away from the bustle of the everyday world. As you open this book, imagine yourself at the sacred Temple of an unkown ancient religion. With trepidation you expect to discover something mysterious and possibly of great value to you. Briefly close your eyes and exhale deeply. Now you are ready to read Walter Russell's The Secret of Light." - Vladimir B. Ginzburg, Ph.D.

"Do you want to really know the secret of the spirit world? Do you really want to know who the Creator is and your relationship to it? Read this book. It is fantastic in every way. Forget about religion and the doctrines it forces on you. This is the truth that your soul knows is true. It is heavy duty reading, take your time. This book is for the person who has studied world religion, experienced metaphysical things, searched for the truth all your life. In this, you will have found it. Fabulous book." -  Joan G. Zakrzewski
