President
John bonsall
Life long student of the Russell science and philosophy. John lived and worked at Swannanoa Palace with Lao Russell from 1976-77. Prior to this, he dabbled in Corvette restorations and spent 7 years in the retail and wholesale automotive industry furthering his management skills. John is a graduate of Frostburg University in Western Maryland.
In 1985, he helped in developing a telecommunications company, Call Communications Inc., which eventually went public in 13 states in 1991. In 1999, John discovered the time share world through a good friend. It was there that he flourished with his gift of communication. John spent 5 years at the world's largest Four Seasons resort, Massanutten, eventually moving on to Bluegreen Corp. During his tenure in timeshares, he was knowingly able to apply the principles of the Russell cosmogony to his profession, and received numerous rewards as a result.
In 2017, he retired from the time share industry knowing he had mastered his field. During his short retirement, he was able to dedicate himself in helping the University of Science and Philosophy (USP) move from a storage warehouse to the beautiful new museum location in historic downtown Waynesboro, VA.
After three and one half years in retirement, a surprise phone call came from then President Matt Presti, asking if he would accept an offer to take over the presidency of the USP. Being caught completely off-guard by this request, John accepted the offer after much deliberation and research.
John currently raises horses at his home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He's an avid golfer, die-hard Duke basketball fan and loves his Chicago Bears.
