IN MEMORIAM
TIM GILLESPIE SEPTEMBER 24, 1957 - APRIL 20, 2024 The University of Science and Philosophy has lost a deep student of over 18 years and an active volunteer with the refolding of Tim Gillespie. “Uncle Tim” was the visionary behind the Russell Cosmogony Conversation presenting advanced Russellian science concepts from March 2023 through March 2024. As a Board member and long-time student of the University of Science and Philosophy, I had the pleasure of meeting Tim in November 2019 at our homecoming conference and had the pleasure of hearing him play music at the Russell Museum on Saturday evening of that conference weekend. Subsequently, as co-moderator with Jim Porter and Michaela Presti, of the online Zoom bi-weekly home study course from 2020 through 2021, I had the pleasure of getting deeply connected to Tim Gillespie, who was an avid student and relentless in his pursuit of understanding and living the message of the Divine Iliad. Tim Gillespie was an answer to prayer for me when I asked the universe to provide a partner to create the Cosmic Messenger Meetups which I envisioned in early 2021 and which launched in October 2021 with Tim as host from Mountain Studios in Boulder, Colorado and co-moderated by me from Virginia. Our monthly Cosmic Messenger Meetups from October 2021 through March 2024 gave me an opportunity to work on a regular basis with Tim Gillespie, during which time I came to a profound appreciation of his understanding and fluency in presenting advanced Science of the Cosmos concepts as well as his deep heart, humility, and reverence. Tim Gillespie was a musician, writer, and publisher, elite web master and designer, and owner and operator of Mountain Studios in Boulder, Colorado. He was the author of Uncle Tim’s Fine Guitar books, which offer guitar instruction with an understanding of the math and cosmic science underlying the language of music. http://uncletim.com Tim received a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in 1981 in Landscape Architecture and is survived by his wife Sara and his daughters, Katie and Maura. Please take a moment to appreciate the following song by Tim Gillespie, which is the title cut from his album Songs from the Mountain. The closing refrain is “I’m coming home”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXZSUENxrjE With appreciation for a cosmic messenger whose life was well-lived, and for his legacy which will survive through his contributions to the University of Science and Philosophy, we are grateful for the privilege of knowing and working with Uncle Tim. Richard A. Dulaney, President The University of Science and Philosophy
