Now available! Use the link below to order "A Worthy Messenger", by Charles W. Hardy.

At the beginning of the last century, he was the nation’s foremost portrait painter of children, an author, horse breeder, champion figure skater, and originator of the cooperative housing concept.  Thomas J. Watson, Sr. of IBM was his patron and Adolph Ochs, publisher of the New York Times, his advocate in the media.  Among his friends were Enrico Caruso, Nikola Tesla, Paderewski, Mark Twain, and the Presidents Roosevelt. At age 56 he turned to sculpture, rising to the top rank and producing the Mark Twain Memorial and the Four Freedoms.  In his scientific treatises he challenged Science to acknowledge the Supreme Being and reform theoretical physics; he urged Religion to accept science and abandon the fossilized dogma of centuries past.  Knowledge of the natural laws of the universe, Russell maintained, would bring about a “New Age.” To Glenn Clark, he was “The Man Who Tapped the Secrets of the Universe.” Charles Hardy as a teenager knew Russell when he was nearly ninety years old.  Now, fifty years later, Hardy re-introduces Walter Russell to the world in this exhaustively researched, long-overdue biography.

Atomic Suicide?
By Walter and Lao Russell

'Atomic Suicide?' is the final distillation of the Russell's science and wonderfully conveys the maturation of Dr. Russell's concepts.

If we knew the WHY and WHAT of radioactivity we would not dare to use it. 'Atomic Suicide?' explains that WHY and WHAT. The truth about whether radioactivity can or can not be used as the next world fuel stands or falls upon one issue alone: can science protect organic life from extinction? The facts about radioactive death elements are clearly spelled out in this highly informative volume.
“What is atomic energy?” asked the Russell's.  We will briefly state what it is and what it can do in one short paragraph. We will then expand this one paragraph into this whole book for full comprehension of its meaning.”

Why You Cannot Die!
By Lao Russell

Lao Russell invites "those who are searching into the unknown", to enter with her into "a step-by-step process of thinking together, reasoning together and meditating together in order that the answers to all your questions may reach your very soul."

“The greatest miracle which can happen to any man is the discovery that his Self and God are One. When man has made that supreme discovery, he has found that his knowing is God’s knowing and his thinking is God’s thinking. He can then knowingly say: I and my Father are One.”

-Lao Russell, Why You Cannot Die!—The Continuity of Life—Reincarnation Explained (1972) Pg. 73

"...probably the most thought provoking book I have ever read and makes me question all sorts of previously held beliefs on the world."

“A new perspective on life and everything in general. Requires a broader mind, and deeper meditation, in order to properly soak in the knowledge presented.

In the Wave Lies the Secret of Creation
By Dr. Timothy Binder

This book offers many rare and unpublished colorful scientific diagrams by Dr. Russell. Each diagram is given a rich and detailed description by Dr. Binder, who is very fluent with the language of Russellian Science.

Russell’s paintings will fascinate and intrigue the scientist, lay-person, and artist alike. They are symbolic, visual statements of how the Cosmic drama of creation is played. This is the original Sacred Geometry, what Russell called Wave Geometry.

Walter Russell stated that, “In the wave lies the secret of creation.” This series of full-color science paintings and black-and-white charts visually expresses the essence of Russell’s whole-cycle, generative-radiative, negentropic-entropic, rhythmic-balanced-interchanging vision of universal process.

“Excellent book on the language of light.”

“This book is a must read for all scientists...”
Sandra

"It has been a short time since I received this book, it is perfect and is the one that I was looking for. It is for years that I have been interested in the way that Dr. Russell had explained existence.
Farzin J.

The University of Science and Philosophy

A living philosophy by Lao Russell -

God Will Work With You But Not For You

God Will Work With You But Not For You dynamically answers the age-old questions “Who am I? What am I? Why am I here?”

Human Beings are the greatest mystery of the "unknown." We have conquered the seas, the skies, the elements and the very forces which move the universe. We, the great discoverers and inventors of many things, have not as yet fully discovered ourselves.

In answer to the question of “man the unknown,” Lao Russell writes: “Let us transform the world by renewing of the world-Mind." That transformation can take place only by our acquiring knowledge of our inseparable and eternal moment to moment unity with a comprehensible Creator, and of our unity with all people and Nature.” This transforming knowledge is the theme of the Living Philosophy vitally presented in God Will Work With You But Not For You.

“The whole purpose of this book is to point the way to all knowledge and power for you. To attain it you have to acquire the power to think inwardly instead of merely to sense outwardly.” — Lao Russell

Some of the deepest wisdom I’ve ever come across in this book highly recommend it to anybody!
Carson N.

The best book I have read in the last 20 years.
It helps to be familiar with the works of Walter Russell first. That said, Lao Russell puts these concepts into more easily understandable language.

Kendall W.

Food for the soul! The purpose of mankind is to manifest God. Well written, a classic , thank you Lao Russell.

Remembering Walter Russell

A tribute to Walter Russell, painter, sculptor, musician, autodidact, philosopher, and author on his 151st birthday by John Bonsall

Reprinted from www.Imaginezine.com

Walter Russell grew up in Boston, the son of immigrants from Nova Scotia. The Boston of his time was awash with new ideas, but he achieved fame and fortune when he and his bride moved to New York City in 1894. There he became a magazine art editor, a war correspondent, and a children’s portrait painter. A dearth of studio space led him into a joint venture in cooperative apartment building.

In May of 1921, Russell had an out-of-body experience he called Cosmic Illumination. New knowledge was revealed to him “In the Light.” His book The Universal One was written and published in 1926. 800 copies were printed and handed out to the top scientists and Universities of his day. Nikola Tesla was the only scientist to recognize his genius. He told Russell to lock up this new knowledge, put it in a time capsule at the Smithsonian to be opened in a thousand years. Hopefully, mankind would be ready to receive it then.

The Law of Love by Richard Dulaney

Of the 40,000 words written in many fragments during Walter Russell’s illumination of 1921, a select few were printed in 1946 in his book The Secret of Light.  More were published in 1948 and 1949 as Vols. 1&2 of The Message of the Divine Iliad.  One passage from The Message of the Divine Iliad sounds the keynote of the Message and the essence of Natural Law:

“Great art is simple.  My universe is great art, for it is simple.

“Great art is balanced.  My universe is consummate art, for it is balanced simplicity.

“My universe is one in which many things have majestic measure; and again another many have measure too fine for sensing.

“Yet I have not one law for majestic things, and another law for things which are beyond the sensing.

“I have but one law for all My opposed pairs of creating things; and that law needs but one word to spell it out, so hear Me when I say that the one word of

Why I appreciate the Home-Study Course(HSC) by Illuminates Walter and Lao Russell on Universal Law, Natural Science and Living Philosophy.

Boniface Boateng, February 16, 2022

On the back page of my copy of unit 12 of said home study course I have written down two dates; November 1, 2020 and December 24, 2021. November 1 , 2020 is when I first completed the course after receiving it just a short time before. December 24, 2021 is the second time I completed the course while participating in a biweekly conference call sponsored by the University of Science and Philosophy (USP) to review lessons with other students.

Here are five of the reasons why I find the home study course invaluable;

1. Validation and Instruction on Implementing the Ancient Prescient Sage Advice

Practically all my entire life I have pondered and searched for answers to the misery and destitution I could see wherever I have been. All roads in this search led to Ancient Khemit on the continent of Alkebulan. There the sages left the advice, indeed a plea for their progeny. This advice has made it to all corners of the globe though its authorship has been attributed to various characters for dubious reasons. The fact remains that the precious few times a people implemented the advice, peace and prosperity and progress abounded otherwise a veritable race to the bottom, a downward spiral of misery has been the course of mankind. The advice, the plea is “Know Thyself”. Two problems; what does it mean and how do you “Know Thyself”?

In the 12 units with 48 lessons of the Walter and Lao Russell home-study course on Universal Law, Natural Science and Living Philosophy, I found the answer to the two perplexing problems above. I came to realize......CONTINUE READING BY CLICKING BUTTON BELOW!

IN MEDITATION ON
OUR LOVELY WORLD

The world we live in is beautiful—surpassingly beautiful. It is a divine creation. We, who live in it, know that it is beautiful only because we are a divine creation, and all the beauty of all Creation resides in our souls. We could not, otherwise, know the beauty of our world.
We look out upon that beauty which dawns with the light of day to illumine it—to illumine the countenances of our loved ones—our fathers and mothers—our brothers and sisters—our children and our many friends—and the great out-of-doors we love.
Our hearts are glad—and a happiness permeates us which reverberates through our Being. Our heartbeat makes a rhythm of it, and we sing—happily—gloriously. Our eyes uplift to heaven as our souls sing out those rhythms of beauty within our souls.
We sing because we are happy—ecstatically happy. We are happy because happiness is in our souls—twinned with beauty.
How beautiful—and lovely—and good, our world is! There are unfortunately too many among us who do not see the beauty—and loveliness—and goodness of our world, for the love within their souls is sealed there by fear—and the ugliness of primal man’s ways with man.
God grant that the legions of those whose souls still reflect the beauty of the dawn, and the illumined countenances of loved ones, will unseal the souls of those who see but the light which glitters upon gold and entombs their souls in its reflected dark.
God grant that man may forever be enabled to look out upon a world of love—and light—and beauty—and know that it is beautiful because love—and light—and beauty—and goodness will have driven fear out of our lovely world—and reopened men’s souls to love of our beautiful world—and the illumining light of it upon the countenances of all the people of all the world—made ONE by love.

The 10 Best Things to Do in Waynesboro, VA (Augusta County)

11/5/2021

Picture
If you’re looking for unique things to do in Waynesboro VA, the Russell Museum certainly fits the bill, and makes for an informative stop after visiting the Swannanoa mansion.

This Virginia museum is home to the University of Science and Philosophy (USP), which was founded by Walter and Lao Russell in 1948 and was based at Swannanoa until their lease ended in 1998.

The museum features countless works of art by the Russells (including sculptures, paintings, drawings and more), as well as various letters of correspondence with their myriad famous friends.

According to their site, the University was formed “to give to the world The Message of the Divine Iliad, by Walter Russell, a scientific explanation of God’s ways and processes in the construction of His universe, and the message of a Living Philosophy, by Lao Russell, for illuminating man’s Cosmic way of Life in his long journey of life from the dark to God’s Light.”

We honestly weren’t sure what to make of the USP stuff. But it was fascinating to see Walter Russell’s artwork, which included remarkable sculptures commissioned by famous friends such as Franklin D Roosevelt, Mark Twain, and Thomas Edison.
His busts, paintings, wood carvings, and illustrations were truly exceptional, and you can only imagine how spectacular the Swannanoa palace must have looked when his art filled its halls.  –by Bret Love; all photos by Bret Love & Mary Gabbett
