American renaissance man, Dr. Walter Russell is often called the Man Who Tapped the Secrets of the Universe.
And it's no wonder..
In his lifetime, he was a world renown illustrator, painter, sculptor, accomplished musician, scientist, philosopher, author, award winning figure skater, and architectural designer.
But there’s more to Russell’s story than just his outstanding artistic accomplishments, some of which were first created after the age of 50.
He believed that every person had within them inherent genius. His art is the manifestation of that deeper divine inspiration.
Walter and his wife, Lao, spent their lives teaching others how to connect with their own inner genius. Lao Russell was an educator, philosopher, artist and best-selling author whose life was dedicated to the transformation of world human relations. In 1948 she and her husband Walter Russell founded The University of Science and Philosophy.
The University of Science and Philosophy occupied Swannanoa Palace atop Afton Mountain in Virginia until 1998. Today, the headquarters have been relocated to The Russell Museum in beautiful downtown Waynesboro, Virginia. Find inspiration. Connect with your own inner genius. Marvel at what Walter Russell created and tap into what you can create in your own life.
