Adrianne Boyer is Director of Operations for the University of Science and Philosophy (USP), Volunteer Coordinator, and Treasurer for the USP Board of Directors. A dedicated advocate for preserving and sharing the legacy of Walter and Lao Russell, Adrianne was inspired by the Russells’ works after being introduced to their life story in 2014.
She holds a degree in Psychology and previously worked in Workforce Development with the Gulf Coast Workforce Board in Texas—one of the largest workforce systems in the nation—where she helped oversee employment services, education, and vocational training initiatives. Combining her professional background with a passion for education, community engagement, and historic preservation, Adrianne began her journey with USP as a volunteer before stepping into multiple leadership roles within the organization.
Since relocating to Virginia in 2017, Adrianne has also served as Marketing and Event Director for historic Swannanoa, the Gilded Age estate once home to Walter and Lao Russell 1948-1998. Through seasonal events, historical tours, retreats, weddings, and community programming, she helps create meaningful experiences that connect visitors to the history, beauty, and enduring inspiration of Afton Mountain.
Above all, Adrianne treasures homeschooling her three children and creating a life centered on family, learning, creativity, and meaningful experiences.
