"The supreme lesson of life is to learn how to give with love..."

The University of Science and Philosophy

EST.1948

"The supreme lesson of life is to learn how to give with love. Someday, man will know that an individual independent life is impossible, that each man is as dependent upon every other as each cell of his body is dependent upon every other cell, and that the hurt of any man on Earth is the hurt of every man. All men are one. Man is not local or separable. He is Universal. When a civilization learns these lessons, it will then know the meaning of the Universal Brotherhood of man.”

Lao and Walter Russell (1951) Scientific Answer to Human Relations, pg. 31

End of Year Tax Planning

The University of Science and Philosophy is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt educational charity charted in the Commonwealth of Virginia and recognized as tax exempt by the Internal Revenue Service.  As the year draws to a close, we humbly ask for your financial support for the mission of the University of Science and Philosophy.  Our mission is both local and global.  Locally, we operate the Russell Museum and the University headquarters in downtown Waynesboro, Virginia, along with our shipping department, meeting rooms, podcast studio, and bookstore.  Globally, we are extending the Message into the 21st century digital town square through our social media platforms, our YouTube channel, the abundant resources on our website, our monthly Zoom Russell Cosmogony Conversation and our monthly Zoom Cosmic Messenger Meetup, as well as speaker series’ throughout the year, along with our homecoming conference offered both virtually and in person.

At this threshold of the new year, we desire to expand the work of The University of Science and Philosophy as a teaching university both through our local events and our global offerings.  The University operates on a small annual operating budget and relies on donations to support additional aspects of its educational mission.  As we move forward at this time, we are especially interested in the organization and digitization of our extensive archives spanning over 75 years.  We wish to publish some of the previously unpublished portions of the Divine Iliad, along with other unpublished materials, such as the Optical Dynamo Generator Plan.  In addition, we would like to republish the 1930 supplement to the Universal One, titled “The Russell Genero-Radiative Concept”.  There are also other publications requiring reprinting.  We also hope to produce content from the extensive video materials in our archives for educational use.  We humbly ask for support with regards to this archival work, video editing and content production, as well as a potential future online student hub.  In addition to team members having such expertise, we also will need a new computer for archival purposes, a scanner, and a copier, along with several filing cabinets.

In addition to these educational needs, we also would like to add a children’s room at the museum with interactive exhibits, and generate new museum displays with descriptions of the paintings and the statues, as well as several historic displays.  We have a visiting artist gallery which needs new painting and better lighting.  For those of you who attended our homecoming in September, you will recall that we had to start the Saturday homecoming with no power due to the hurricane that disrupted power in Waynesboro.  We realized at that time that a generator is needed at the museum.

While any and all donations to support the mission of The University of Science and Philosophy are fully tax deductible, we deeply appreciate even the smallest of contributions, especially if they are made on a sustained, ongoing basis.  Please consider as the year draws to a close, your potential for financially supporting the life work and legacy of Walter and Lao Russell and the mission of  The University of Science and Philosophy.  We also ask you to support the mission of The University by disseminating to your circle of contacts the Purpose and Objective of The University, which was written by Walter and Lao Russell, and which can be found by clicking here.

Sincerely,

Richard Dulaney

President, University of Science and Philosophy
